No, I wasn't stuttering - that stands for Tandem Time Trial Times Three.... I'll let Mike's words describe today's adventure:
Oofff, I had big intentions for today but it didn't happen. I'm spanked. I figured with the [crummy] weather it'd be a good chance to ride local and practice the CBTT course at the same time. Did a longer fast warmup ride over then hit the TT for a moderate pace. This is on the regular tandem. I had visions of a solid 8 laps making for a full century. Ha! After three laps at moderate 26min pace I was toast. We limped around through Great Brook home for 65.7 miles @ 19.7avg. I'm at 290 miles for the past 4 days, 360 miles for the past 6 days w/ one day off. 2 days of training camp left its looking like I may be able to break 400 miles in a week. Training camp is gonna kill me.
I couldn't have phrased it better ;-). And I'm glad to know that it isn't just me who is tired. Personally, I'm at 233 miles for the week, 283 for the past 6 days with one day off. I only have to ride another 100 miles in the next two days to have my highest mileage week ever, and with my tyrant coach (oops - I mean my darling husband), I'm sure to break that record.
After limping home from our "training ride", we went out to the movies again today. The feature today was Transformers. I didn't really want to see this movie - my brother LOVED the Transformers cartoon when we were growing up, but I didn't, and imagined the movie would be pretty similar. I was completely wrong - in fact, I think I enjoyed this film more than Live Free or Die Hard! There was a lot of action, and the special effects were really good. Definitely worth seeing.
OK, I'm off to bed. Coach Mike says that I need my sleep before tomorrow's adventure ;-).
